What is Orderit?

Orderit offers the easiest, most convenient way for consumers of legal drinking age to get beer, wine and liquor delivered to their doorstep at a touch of a button.

How does Orderit work?

We work with local stores to offer you the best selection of wine, beer, and spirits. You can browse, order, and pay for these products within the app or on the website. Simply choose your bottles, select a delivery time, and get ready for your delivery!

Where is the service available?

We currently deliver to Utica, New Hartford, Clinton, Yorkville, Whitesboro and Deerfield, and will be expanding to other areas soon.

Delivery

Is there a delivery fee?

Yes, there is a $5 delivery fee added to each order. Please note that wine and liquor are sold separately from beer. This will result in two separate charges on your payment method and two separate deliveries. Please be courteous and tip your delivery person. Gratuity is good for the soul.

Is there a delivery minimum?

Yes, most of our retail partners do have a $15 delivery minimum. If you haven’t yet met it, a notification will appear when you try to check out.

What are the delivery hours?

Currently we are open from Monday – Saturday 9am-8pm and Sunday 12pm-5pm.

What if no one is at the delivery location to receive my order?

We cannot leave orders unattended for any reason. A person 21 years or older with valid government ID must be present to receive the order. If no one is home or no one over 21 is present, your order will be returned to the store and you will be refunded your purchase amount minus a $20 restocking fee. You may reschedule your delivery, but the $20 restocking fee may still apply.

How long do deliveries take?

Delivery times are subject to the Orderit Partner Network, and other variables such as time of day and traffic conditions. In most areas, delivery takes around 30-60 minutes.

For those who prefer to plan ahead, Orderit offers the ability to schedule deliveries. You can schedule an order up to 14 days in advance on the Payment page during the checkout process. You’ll be able to choose the date and two-hour window for the delivery. If you don’t schedule an order, it will be dispatched for delivery as soon as possible.

How do I add delivery instructions to my order?

If you have particular delivery instructions, such as a gate code or authorization to leave your order with a doorman, you can add them as delivery notes during the checkout process. Our store partner will receive these instructions and fulfill delivery accordingly.

Will I need ID to accept delivery?

Yes. Delivery personnel will ask for an ID and use proprietary technology on their smartphones to check the validity of a customer’s form of identification. Upon delivery, you may be asked to produce your ID along with the credit card used to make the purchase.

The Orderit app and website ask customers to confirm their age before beginning the shopping experience. If you are not of a legal age to purchase alcohol, the products will be returned back to the retailer, and you will be charged an automatic $20 restocking fee.

Please note: At Orderit, we take underage drinking very seriously.

Can I pre-schedule a delivery?

Absolutely! At checkout, you have the option to schedule your order up to two weeks in advance. To do so, you will be asked to chose a one hour window in which you will receive your order.

What happens when I place my order?

An order verification email will be sent to you as soon as you place your order. Once the store accepts your order, you will receive a final confirmation email.

How can I cancel or reschedule a delivery?

Orders are placed to the store and packed immediately upon reception. Cancellations or rescheduling requests can be made at any time before the driver leaves the store. If an order has already left the store, cancellations will be subject to a $20 restocking fee to account for the cost of labor, gas, and time.

The store refused to deliver to me. Can it do that?

The delivery driver, an employee of the retail store partner, may refuse to serve a customer at the door similar to refusing a customer in store if he or she believes the customer is either intoxicated or underage. If a driver withholds your delivery, you will receive a refund for the purchase and instead pay a $20 restocking fee.

I placed an order but it looks like my local store is closed. What now?

Each of our store partners have independent operating hours. If you are placing an order outside of a store’s normal business hours, you will have the option to select a future delivery date at checkout. If a future delivery date is not selected, your order will be fulfilled as soon as our store partner reopens.

If you change your mind and would like to cancel your order, please contact our Customer Experience Team via call, email or text.

I received the wrong item or am missing something from my order. What now?

Oh no! We hope this never happens, but we’re happy to resolve this for you immediately. Please call, email or text our Customer Experience Team so we can help!

Please note that we cannot refund or return items that have been opened or consumed. If you received the wrong item and it is unopened, we can switch it out for you at a time that is convenient.

Is my credit card information secure?

All credit card and personal information is encrypted and secured.

Billing

Is there a delivery fee?

Can I add a tip to my order through a credit card?

In markets where tips are accepted, you can add a tip during checkout. We provide you with the opportunity to tip your driver from our apps or website. In markets accepting tips, the default tip amount is 10% of your order total, but you may adjust the amount according to your preference. We humbly ask that you tip drivers, as they are critical in making every Orderit delivery a reality. You can also tip your driver in cash.

Is it possible to pay cash?

In markets where tips are accepted, the tip portion of the transaction is payable in cash.  The charges for alcohol must be paid by credit card.

Why does Orderit not appear on my credit card statement?

Orderit operates the technology that brings together the consumer and the retail liquor store but does not actually act as the transaction processor. That charge is processed directly by the retailer, whose name will show up on your credit card statement as the merchant of record for the purchase.

I don't recognize a charge on my credit card. What's that all about?

When you place an order with Orderit, your order is fulfilled by our affiliate store partner in your area. Credit card charges and authorizations will appear on your billing statement under the store partner’s merchant name.

Note: When you add your credit card on Orderit, a small pre-authorization charge is made on your card. This is done to ensure your card is valid before your order is placed. We void that charge immediately so you are never actually charged.

Orders & Returns

How do I return an item?

Orderit and our partners cannot accept returns on used or unused products. If something is wrong with your items, please contact our Customer Experience Team and we’re happy to assist!

How do I cancel or change an order?

Orders are processed for delivery as soon as they are received and sent out the door and on it’s way as soon as possible. If you’d like to cancel or change your order, please get in touch with us immediately by calling (315) 520-8623. Please note that cancelled orders may be subject to a $20 restocking fee.

How long does it take to be reimbursed for a cancelled order?

Orderit triggers the reimbursement of the transaction immediately once an order is cancelled.  The actual time that it takes for funds to be returned to your account depends on your specific bank and may vary.  Reimbursement can be as quick as a couple of days, but may take up to 7 to 10 business days depending on your credit card issuer.

Do I need an account to place an order?

Yes, you need an account to place an order. Once you create an account, it becomes extremely fast to place an order because your information is already saved making checking out just a few clicks.

How do I track my order?

You will get an email when the order is on it’s way.

Gifts & Corporate

Can I use Orderit to send someone a gift?

You can send friends and family members their favorite beer, wine or liquor by clicking the “gift” option at the home page. From there, enter the address where you want it to be delivered, name the gift recipient, and begin shopping.

Once the order is placed, the recipient will receive an email notifying they have been sent a gift and instructions on how to schedule a convenient time for it to be delivered. You can also include a note to the recipient, which will be included in the initial email.

Do you take corporate orders?

Absolutely! We’re here to keep your co-worker’s spirits lifted. Let us keep your fridge stocked, send gifts to your accounts or teams, and set up your office parties and events. Do you deliver to office buildings?

Yes! We will deliver to your office building but depending the building’s regulations, you may need to visit the lobby to receive your order.
